An arrest was made in the Midtown subway shooting that left a Bronx man dead over the weekend. A 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the 7th Avenue station shooting on Oct. 17, which claimed the life of 26-year-old Darrel Rodriguez.   According to police, at 12:21 p.m. that day, Rodriguez and the teen were both on the northbound E train platform. Sources familiar with the investigation told amNewYork that Rodriguez had allegedly asked the teen not to smoke on the platform. The teen then allegedly approached Rodriguez, pulled out a firearm and shot him in the chest before fleeing the scene on foot. Paramedics rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was pronounced dead. On Oct. 22, the suspect was taken into custody. His identity is being withheld due to his age. He was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a loaded firearm. Additional reporting by Dean Moses.
